History

Café del Pacífico S.A.P.I de C.V, CAFFENIO, is a leading company dedicated to the development of differentiated products and concepts for specific market segments. Our main offices are located in Hermosillo, Sonora, and we currently have a presence in every state of Mexico.

The company’s tradition began as a small business selling roasted coffee, where our founder, José Díaz Díaz, passed by with a small cart delivering freshly roasted coffee to his home. This service, innovative for those times, made it possible to generate customer preference and sowed the seed of finding how to give value in a different way. As time went by, that little cart grew bigger and bigger. In 1941, a plant was installed in the city of Hermosillo, Sonora to meet the demand for roasted coffee in the northwestern states of the country.

In 2003 Café del Pacifico S.A de C.V divided its operations into 3 clearly differentiated companies: Café del Pacifico S.A de C.V, CAFEPAC and Servicios Administrativos Oslo. Café del Pacífico became a company dedicated to the negotiation of commercial contracts and holder of the shares of CAFEPAC and Oslo Administrative Services: CAFEPAC, with operations in Hermosillo, Sonora, focuses on the production of roasted and soluble coffee and mixes to prepare beverages ; and Servicios Administrativos Oslo, S.A de C.V, owner of the physical and human assets dedicated to the production of coffee with a national presence in more than 54 cities, focused on the commercialization of beverages and convenience foods, as well as providing technical support for equipment used in the preparation of coffee.
In 2006 Café del Pacífico S.A de C.V inaugurated its third plant, built for the production of blends for cappuccinos and natural roasted coffee, equipped with a laboratory where we create and test innovative products for the point of sale, incorporating the area of analysis sensory. In May 2012, Café del Pacífico S.A de C.V changed its name to Café del Pacífico S.A.P.I. de C.V in order to include investment promotion and best corporate practices among its activities. In November 2012, COSECHA BIENESTAR SA (COBISA) was born in order to expand operations, including the purchase of cherries and coffee processing, supporting the Mexican coffee field.
